This is NOT a expert recipe for ribs. I much adopt the "Honey Ribs" recipe that's made in a slow cooker. These were bland and tough. Lamentable!
ten/22/2006
THESE RIBS ARE VERY TENDER AND VERY TASTY Likewise!! Ii THUMBS UP!! IF YOU Similar THEM SPICY THEN JUST FIRE'EM Up! OTHERWISE THEY ARE PERFECT! THANK-Y'all FOR SHARING YOUR RECIPE WITH US!!!
04/09/2006
The commencement time I fabricated this I made the mistake of using long ribs - a greasy mess. Notwithstanding, the next fourth dimension, when I followed the recipe exactly information technology came out keen and I had to share information technology with my dominate! She caught me eating leftovers at my desk and they smelled so skillful I had to give her a copy :-) Hubby and I both love it!
02/27/2010
I enjoyed this recipe, very much. My wife is still laughing, over having earlier read a review, from someone who after irresolute this recipe by substituting short ribs to long, and the wine to beer, (90% of they recipe volume) said they were unhappy by this recipe.
01/xiii/2013
This was fanTAStic. I did the long ribs. They were perfect! I used cumin instead of curry, though. And I used Worchestershire instead of soy sauce. Oh yes, and I added onion powder. I used all ingredients (minus the ribs) equally a "sauce" to marinate the ribs overnight (reserving half of it to use while cooking) and so covered tightly with foil. I deadening cooked them at 250 degrees for several hours while we were out at a family part. (we were gone from 3pm to 6:30pm) They absolutely FELL off the bone and were sooooo tender! I had researched other recipes but this turned out to exist the All-time launching pad recipe. This is going to exist added to the manus-me-down family recipe box for all time. I might try to add cayenne pepper next time though. That might just put this "insane" recipe right over the top and commit us all to the asylum! Everyone at the table kept saying between bites, "mmm-this is really, actually skillful." Honestly, at that place wasn't any intelligent conversation at the dinner table tonight; but exclamations of delight. And once dinner was over, firsthand texting to friends about the keen meal. My stay-at-home-mom, kitchen-cooking-ego is fit to burst!
09/06/2010
These came out wonderful!! I had to practise something different considering my grill bankrupt and I was planning on BBQ ribs. I concluded up trying this recipe and it turned out nifty. I did practise a couple of things dissimilar. I put all the sauce in with the ribs in a glass dish and covered information technology with foil for the first 15 minutes. One time the sauce had thickened upwards, I removed the foil, turned the ribs, brushed the sauce all over them and cooked for some other 15 minutes without covering. They came out perfect! I volition make this again!
03/21/2006
I started making this and realized that it just wouldn't take plenty pizazz for me and my boyfriend's spicy taste. I made it as is with a little less olive oil, about 5-10 shakes of tobasco sauce, ane/2-three/iv loving cup of Famous Dave's Devil Spit BBQ sauce and a little chili powder. With the few modifications, it was splendid for me!
12/xi/2010
easy and fast and delicious! we used st louis manner and didnt take red wine on paw, just the ribs are all gone!
09/03/2006
An first-class prophylactic recipe. Proficient flavor and tender ribs. Made my pregnant wife very happy in a meat craving moment.
08/thirteen/2011
I tried this recipe for the first time for our weekly Fri night family unit dinner. I followed the directions. The ribs were in the oven for about 20 minutes, I took a glance at them and found the sauce was burning and I had a horrible mess. I took them out right away. The meat was flavorless and tough, all of the marinade had burned off. Nosotros all agreed this wasn't a dish we'd effort over again.
06/26/2006
I substituted beer for 2wine and used long ribs not shirot but I was non impressed with the flavour. Will not brand again.
04/22/2011
This recipe turned out great. I used boneless beefiness ribs instead. I like my food with a kick so, I changed the pinch of back-scratch to 1 tablespoon of cayenne pepper, and instead of 4 cloves of garlic I used 6. Finally I didn't have the red wine, so I used 3/8 cup of red wine vinegar and 3/eight cup of white wine vinegar. I was a lilliputian nervous about irresolute the wine with the wine vinegar only information technology turned out and then good! Even my 10 year old ate it and came back for seconds. The sauce was and then thick, it went peachy with the white rice I made. It would have been five stars but the corporeality of olive oil was a little besides much. It was all the same delicious simply a picayune greasy. Next fourth dimension I volition apply ane/4 loving cup of oil (which is half of i/2) instead.
12/fourteen/2008
Four stars from a family unit of 9! Nosotros actually enjoyed how sticky the sauce became. Definately a repeat recipe.
01/28/2009
Very good, but it was more of an asian sauce than BBQ. I loved it my husband prefers BBQ.
07/31/2008
Me and my married man made this repast and it was Yummy....Easy and Fun...and we did it with pork even so came out slap-up..
10/24/2008
great recipe. used pork instead. and burnt the ribs, but actually adept. volition make that once more.
08/07/2011
Quick & easy. Tender & moist. Yummy flavor! I ran out of olive oil and had to sub. half canola oil, which may be the reason my sauce spread out and burned to the pan rather than thickening up.
06/10/2011
Had to make some tweaks...I used mochiko rice flour, white vino, maple syrup, and garlic salt instead of the regular flour, ruby-red vino, sugar, and soy sauce. Tin you tell that I don't cook often? After boiling the meat and drenching it in sauce I ate a slice...tender and delish! Its in the oven now, and Im certain the result will be great. Thinking I'll chop up some onions and carrots for a quick side bake.
06/28/2015
The ingredients and proportions in this recipe are spot on, and would have been worth five stars had the recipe not called for cooking the brusque ribs at 425 for one-half an 60 minutes (ribs came out dry out and overcooked the first time around). The 2nd time around, I heated the oven to 250 degrees, placed the ribs in a roasting pan with a cover, and cooked them depression and slow for about v hours. The meat slid right off the bone and was tender plenty to cutting with a fork. Absolutely succulent. Edit 10/nine/2016: Forgot to stress this enough in my original review; never boil ribs! The best flavors from the meat volition end upwards dissolved in the water and going downwards the sink.
02/06/2014
This recipe was First-class! I fabricated a few small adjustments because my married man is cajun and doesnt like the taste of curry, and I hate boiling ribs. I substituted a small corporeality of paprika, chili powder, and a generous pinch of cayenne for the curry, then I marinated the ribs in the sauce for 30 minutes. I baked them at 350 for an hour and a half, completely covers in sauce. My husband and 2 year one-time daughter were VERY impressed, this has become a new favorite in thr house, and the sauce is thick enough to enjoy over rice!
06/14/2011
Very Quick. Not very saucy. I used apple cidar vinegar instead of ruby vino. I would make over again...becarful the sauce burns fast!
02/sixteen/2014
The meat would accept been less chewy if it was RAW.
05/17/2013
I stock-still this recipe tonight for my husband and me and Wow! was it adept. I just tweaked information technology a petty bit. We don't apply booze, and then instead of using wine, I used 100% grape juice. It came out delicious. This is definitely a keeper. Without a doubt I volition apply this recipe once again and again.
06/17/2014
These were succulent did the recipe as information technology was written and would utilize this again on our beef ribs!
06/19/2011
HORRIBLE. VERY TOUGH. COULD NOT Even CUT WITH STEAK Knife.
03/31/2009
The sauce was yummy! I seasoned my ribs with seasoned meat tenderizer, onion pulverization and beef rub. I cooked my ribs in the crockpot on high for 6 hours. Afterwards, I tuckered them and rolled each rib in the yummy sauce (excluded the scarlet wine.) I poured the remaining sauce over the ribs and placed them in oven for 15 minutes at 350 degrees (long enough) not toooooo tender, and definitely not TOUGH! Thanks so much for sharing such a great thought.
05/28/2011
This was great! My married man doesn't similar "sweet meat" and this was savory enough for him just sweetness enough for me. I saved the sauce from dinner to utilise as a dip for cocktail weiners and a sauce for hamburgers (allergic to ketchup). The only problem/question I have is that the oil? or something in the sauce didn't gear up into the sauce merely stayed seperate. Side by side time I might endeavor to decrease the oil since the meat is fat enough. However really YUMMY!!
01/24/2011
This was a very simple recipe to fabricate, who could take thunk it!... ribs in 1 hr. And the taste?... Well I would honey to share these with the members of my church buti dont call up they could handle something so new an exciting... no their non ready!!!
10/07/2011
Succulent recipe to cook ribs in an hr!! Covered with aluminum foil for the first x minutes, then added the remaining sauce at the 15 minute mark. Flipped the ribs at the 20 minute mark. Maybe should've boiled them for 25 minutes to brand them more tender.
02/18/2013
Oh' WOW! fabricated these ribs for my son'south BD (he just turned 30) I made my own fiery hot Barbecue sauce for them. I used the long beef ribs. FIERY HOT BAR-B-QUE SAUCE: one Cup apple cider vinegar, 1/2 Cup Brn.Sugar, ii TBSP Roger's golden syrup, 4 TBSP Worcestershire sauce, 9 TBSP chili sauce, eight oz. lycopersicon esculentum paste, i/2 teaspoon dry out mustard, one/3 cup beloved, 1/iv cup finely chopped onion. MIX IN MED. sauce pan. Melt on low heat, stir occasionally until thickened. Makes most 1 3/4 cups of sauce to baste the ribs.
08/25/2013
I changed it upwardly a chip....instead of scarlet wine I used Ice House Beer...instead of back-scratch I used scarlet pepper flakes for a fleck more of a bite......insanely practiced!!!
03/04/2015
I love this is fast, like shooting fish in a barrel and the family loved it
ten/07/2015
This recipe resulted in bland & tough as nails ribs. Withal, the sauce smelled like it could be good if used as a marinade and and so heated on the ribs low & slow.
07/21/2013
Liked a lot. I did still marinade mine overnight in a similar sauce and then convection roasted. I and then cut the cooking short nigh 15-20 mins and put them on the grill. Mmmmmm. They came out great. Juicy, tender and merely evidently Good.
04/09/2011
This was okay, I recall I would like the sauch on chicken but didn't intendance for information technology on beefiness. Simply very easy basic recipe and yummy ribs, yummy sauce, merely non so yummy together.
10/11/2010
this was very good with beef back ribs, I omitted the flour and in the future will cut the oil in half.
01/09/2014
This recipe is OUTSTANDING! Although the only adjustment I did was totally exempt the oil and double the sauce. I have made this recipe many times and anybody loved the adjustments. Thanks for sharing! This one will always be one of my faves!
01/07/2013
The sauce was delicious, the three stars are for the sauce. Information technology needed way more time in the oven to go tender, equally ribs should. Next time, I will bake with a foil seal at a lower heat for longer. That should solve the problem. I'm going to try this sauce with chicken. Notation: per calculations with My Fitness Pal, this is a very loftier calorie recipie best saved for crook day.
01/06/2017
My family loved this recipe! I have v kids and 4 of them asked for a 2d helping. My married man as well said it was really delicious. The recipe is super piece of cake and pretty quick to brand. I did cut back on the amount of olive oil I used and added heaping tablespoons of flour to make sure the sauce thickened after reading prior reviews. I probably doubled the amount of garlic and also added onion powder. I served it with sticky white rice and stir fried some broccoli with garlic, olive oil, sesame oil and a tiny bit of soy sauce. I volition definetily make this recipe over again!
12/12/2011
Used boneless ribs.. constitute a new favorite recipe and so easy tin can be fabricated any day of the calendar week
08/10/2013
Two days after i made these ribs, my hubby is still talking virtually how succulent they turned out! I stuck to the recipe, let the ribs soak in the sauce for a few minutes to make sure the meat would absorb the flavors.
06/05/2014
This was Fantabulous!!! My husband was licking those fingers clean. One-half way through the broil, I basted the ribs with a sugariness BBQ sauce and put them back in for the remaining 15 mins. Delish!! The only aligning I would brand next time would exist to employ a picayune less soy sauce, and add some fresh footing pepper. :)
05/25/2012
This was excellent. Using a dutch oven, I fabricated a few minor changes; I rubbed the garlic and curry powder into the raw meat instead of mixing information technology into the sauce and braised the ribs for about two minutes in a mix of olive oil and butter (about 1tbsp each). I then added the sauce and moved the batter to the oven. Hubby loved information technology.
10/04/2009
simply delicious!
05/21/2015
Just made this this evening. Forgot to grab crimson vino on the fashion habitation, then I used some leftover blush instead. Baked it equally instructed but over a veggie medley - parsnips, carrots and cauliflower. The gravy was insanely adept - everything just worked perfectly together. Fifty-fifty my picky 13 year quondam cleaned her plate! Definitely a keeper - yummy and piece of cake!
03/xviii/2016
Drier and tougher than beefiness jerky
09/03/2017
The sauce/glaze was delicious. The cooking method was less than expected. The rbis were not even close to beingness tender. I will notice another cooking method but utilise the aforementioned sauce.
08/27/2013
I added BBQ sauce and information technology came out sooooo tasty. My v year old doesn't eat a lot of beef but she wanted more.
12/11/2015
This was not good; the meat was tough and the sauce fabricated a burned upwards mess.
05/05/2011
This was my first time making ribs, and I was so excited when they turned out DELICIOUS. I idea the sauce was a bit runny at outset, merely one time it cooked in the oven, it thickened up. I also flipped the ribs 1/ii way through so each side got well marinaded. Definitely recommend!
08/10/2014
LOVED IT! Great flavor, very tender, nifty recipe if you desire like shooting fish in a barrel and fast delicious curt ribs!
06/19/2013
lamentable didn't similar the ribs in the end had to employ bb sauce
10/12/2014
Nosotros found this recipe to exist extremely bland. The sauce was less sauce than goop. I wouldn't attempt this over again.
02/fifteen/2016
I made this recipe this evening and my married man admittedly loved it! I will definitely be making these beef ribs again!
05/14/2011
For sense of taste my hubby gave it 4 stars, but for ease of preparation, I give information technology v stars! I didn't have curry, so I added ginger and information technology turned out not bad! I honey the yummy, sticky sauce!
01/30/2016
I love this recipe! I am making it for the fourth fourth dimension this evening. I take tried information technology with regular ribs, land beef ribs, and tonight I am trying it on beef rib strips. The beef comes out very tender and flavorful. I made this for a church dinner and it was 1 of the offset items to go! It is that practiced.
02/09/2011
I think my cookie sheet was to big. My sauce didn't come out as thick and I know I measured right. And so the sauce but spread beyond the baking sheet. Next fourth dimension I would double the sauce recipe. Definitely needs the flour to thicken the sauce. Good flavour. We thought nosotros could add together bbq sauce for the terminal 10 minutes of baking time or some ketchup to the sauce to thicken.
12/18/2014
The aroma, while information technology was cooking, led me to believe that this would be very tasty. I found them very bland.
11/30/2013
Succulent! I needed a short rib recipe that didn't take 3 hours, yet would still turn out tender. This recipe fit that bill perfectly. I didn't have red wine, so I substituted onion soup mix and 3/4 c. of water, and I think I'll make it that manner every fourth dimension.....because in that location Will be other times!
06/12/2011
The sauce is to die for. This was my outset beef dish of quality and so simple to make. Only suggestion is to keep an eye on the fourth dimension. I establish it to cook much more than rapidly.
11/03/2017
Practise NOT boil meat
07/10/2015
Sauce is good but I followed the recipe to a T and these ribs were chewy. I had the most premium cuts of curt rib.
02/27/2015
I decreased the oil by half and all the same thought it was a bit too much. I followed the rest of the recipe a s written and supper was delicious!
x/05/2016
This was the driest, tasteless, toughest meal I've had in a VERY long fourth dimension. Followed the directions to a tee...I volition NOT be making this again.
01/x/2020
The immpression I have is that this recipe was never used past the original affiche, but, modified from another process "that seemed proficient at the time". Anyone rating this college is clearly trolling the residue of us.
05/08/2018
I didn't take ribs..... I made the sauce according to the recipe, but decreased the flour past half, then added 1/4 tsp crushed red peppers. In one case the sauce was combined I plopped in a frozen Tri-Tip roast, baked in a cast iron Dutch oven at 425° for 30 minutes, then reduced rut to 250° for around 6 hours. The sauce was plentiful and the flavour? I'1000 making it for my Mother's Day dinner. It'southward just that expert. Oh my! Served over rice with a light-green salad alongside. Thank you lot for a great and easy recipe!! I might accept to get some ribs.... ;)
05/29/2020
Actually succulent! Could benefit from a reduction in total volume of liquid past a 1/4 or even a i/3.
05/17/2017
This recipe was OK, merely there was non much flavor and the ribs were a bit on the dry out side and uninspiring. I volition not make this recipe again, so the search resumes for a juicier and more tangy beef barbecue.
01/13/2016
I unremarkably make ribs in the crockpot simply needed something quicker tonight. This recipe is awesome. My husband says they're the best ribs he has ever tasted. The ribs were really moist and nicely seasoned and didn't autumn off the bone. I expected the sauce to exist a little thicker, just it worked just fine. I volition definitely make this recipe again.
09/25/2018
I accept made this recipe Countless TIMES and it has come out wonderful each and every time! Don't forget to marinate half mode through and practise not overcook. Delicious!
06/20/2017
The sauce/marinade tasted very very adept and caramelized well over the ribs. I added salt and pepper to it and drenched them virtually every 5 minutes in the oven (at 400 degrees instead of 425) to get a skilful glaze. The beef notwithstanding was not very tender after being boiled, and I may marinade or slow cook adjacent fourth dimension to endeavour and get information technology more than tender. All effectually good recipe yet.
02/03/2015
Really skillful and fast! Didn't take red wine so I did 2/3 sherry wine and ane/3 red vino vinegar.
12/11/2017
This was easy and came out fantastic. I broiled it in the oven at 400 for 1 i/ii hours. Added some ginger. Delicious.
12/15/2012
This is very skillful beefiness rib recipe. I usually practise not cook beef ribs, merely this recipe was full of favor. Will definitely get in over again.
eleven/29/2017
We have made this several times only every bit written and without red vino(we were out). Absolutely delicious both ways! Bang-up recipe!
02/15/2009
This was a good recipe just nothing actually fabled. I won't bother making again. They were just too basic.
08/05/2015
Awesome recipe! I did drop the heat downwardly to 350 to keep the sauce from called-for. When I brand this once again, I program on making up some extra sauce
03/08/2017
This season was absolutely delicious. Only wish the beef ribs had more meat on them. Cooked them in the oven for about 90 minutes to make more tender. Will try this once again on pork ribs, it's that good!
05/21/2013
A petty tough, but insanely adept flavor.
01/05/2016
Sauce was succulent. I did cut the oil in half and in that location was plenty. Next time I will try in a crock pot.
03/10/2019
This was delicious every bit written. The merely thing I did differently was to put all the ingredients, except the flour, in my instant pot. (I didn't remember to thaw). I added the flour to the sauce at the end and simmered until thickened. Will be making this over again!
01/24/2019
I give this a 3 because the sauce was really practiced but the ribs were really tough and I followed the directions exactly.
10/06/2015
INSANE RIBS I accidentally misread the recipe and used ruddy vino VINEGAR instead of cherry wine and information technology was delish! Actually fabricated the marinade zesty and tart. I will use this once again and may even try it with craven, shrimp, pork.
04/06/2017
today is my 2nd time making them and they are sooooo yummy,... i didnt add together sugar or wine and put a teaspoon of back-scratch instead of a compression., all the same the overall recipe is GREAT!!
11/30/2017
I had only 1/2 Kg of moose ribs on hand so I halved the recipe. Holding the flour, I tossed all in a Sous vide bag at 68C for 2 hrs and did some homework. Finished every bit recommended on tin foil in the oven, flipping and dipping the ribs in the sauce again at the turn. Pretty tasty for chop-chop, toss'em in and get-on-nigh-your-business ribs. I'll do this once again with a whole purse o'ribs! Nice job, MELISSACK!
09/24/2012
Insane Oven Beef Ribs Haiku: "These ribs were okay. Merely the season was lacking. All the sauce slid off." Enlisted my hubbs to brand dinner and he chose this recipe, and he followed information technology to a T. They smelled dandy, looked tasty, merely all the flavor that went into the sauce didn't actually cling or linger as much as we would've liked.
09/22/2017
Loved it .Didnt put all the wine in as I wouldnt accept any to drinkable with the ribs
ten/10/2017
My husband doesn't like tomatoey BBQ sauces. This receipe is just right. I tweeked it a little scrap by simmering the ribs in the sauce in the pan before putting them in the oven. I thicken the remaining sauce by reducing information technology, then adding Wondra. I spread the thickened sauce on the ribs a few minutes prior to being done. Yum!
05/28/2015
It was amazing. My family loved them. This recipe is a keeper.
09/30/2017
I cooked them on the BBQ after boiling, basting them often. They turned out fine simply not equally tender every bit described.
05/fourteen/2016
I thought they were very good.I simply used Babe Rays Sauce instead of making the sauce myself.Best function was my better one-half loved them.As a cook Id rate myself a 1 on a calibration of 1 to ten.So if I tin can do information technology so can you.
12/08/2019
Awesome. I added 1 cup of Makers Mark to the sauce, coated the ribs and refrigerated overnight. Crawly became STELLAR!
10/27/2013
Substituted wheat beer for read vino. Too added a few dashes of ginger, a eject of Sriracha and about one/4 cup ketchup. First thing is this seems manner as well thin. Next time I would heat it on the stove peak and then add together a tablespoon of corn starch mixed with a little cold h2o, and and so let that bubble for about five minutes. And then set aside to cool downwards. This should thicken it a chip.
08/18/2019
I did change a few things. Past slower cooking in the oven they came out not bad!
02/17/2020
Love it!! Will be making over again
08/20/2021
Loved this recipe! I read all the reviews so made the following changes: cerise vinegar vino instead of red wine, cut the oil in half, and used a teaspoon of red pepper flakes instead of curry powder. Don't despair that the sauce is thin at showtime, it volition thicken up during cooking and you merely need to mix information technology well when yous pour in the remainder of the sauce at the halfway mark. My married man and I really enjoyed information technology and will certainly cook it again shortly. :)
10/07/2020
This turned out to be a great last minute recipe! I had to modify some things around because I didn't have everything on hand and we needed to add together extra spice. The recipe was very forgiving of the the changes. The ribs were juicy, tender, and full of flavor. My family ate them up and wanted more than.
12/thirty/2015
The flavor of the sauce was great. I will make it once again but will take lengthen the cooking time because the ribs were still tough.
eleven/nineteen/2012
the sauce was good, i modified it with worcestershire sauce...
